Established in 2003, Eden Valley Farmed meats is the brand name of meat cut and packed by Saddleback Foods.  It is a venture between Saddleback Foods and Messrs Atkinson; Mark’s father and brother who farm at Scratchmere Scar, on land adjacent to Scarfoot.  The aim being to promote Eden Valley reared beef and lamb from the family farm. Due to demand we also use stock reared on surrounding farms.

Mssrs Atkinson have 60 years experience of livestock farming in the Eden Valley. Beef and lamb are reared traditionally using homegrown fodder, before being slaughtered locally and returned to our own premises to hang for 2-3 weeks.  They are then cut and packed to individual customers requirements by our own team of butchers. Delivery is by our own fleet of refrigerated vehicles to local deli’s and farm shops or by overnight courier in insulated containers to those further afield.
