Saddleback Foods & Smokerie was established in the spring of 2000 by Mark Atkinson & Jane Farkins aming to promote Eden Valley reared beef and lamb from the family farm at Scratchmere Scar in Cumbria. Since then our we have been expanding our product range to include anything from smoked produce to ready meals, quiches, roast and cured meats, pates and most important, fresh meat straight from the farm and game from our own and neighbouring shoots and estates.

It is in our quest to only use local produce wherever possible – meat from the family farm, game from our own shoot, free range eggs provided by a lady who works for us and even our own water supply from a borehole - to cut down on those often totally unneeded “food miles”.
